Thanks Mic! Yeah, people warned me my life was going to change as soon as my wife got pregnant. They told me that my hot rods were going to go.....what they didn't tell me is that they'd be replaced with rad customs ahahaha!!!

My wife is super excited and even though we both loved that little '26 we realize that this was a necessary step toward the growing family. I am super stoked to get this one buttoned up and back on the road. It's getting a freshly rebuilt 8ba and a t-5 which should help on the thruway. That's about it for this year though, next year it might get some new paint.

 

Man that car is bad to the bone!!! Great to see a man sacrafice for his family! Lov it

 

When my kids were a lot younger I would take them to car shows with me. I'd roll up
and some of the people would have a fit when they see my kids get'n out of the Merc
with their Happy Meals...... I told them its just a car and they would look at me like I
was nuts. ahhhh good times... Your gonna have a blast!!

'58 Corvette flipped up. They light from the bottom which looks like they are on fire.

No pics of them right now. I catch a few tomorrow when I go to the shop.

This is Axle's old car (couple years ago) by the way so you might have seen it...... although there's not a huge Iron Cross stitched in the back seat anymore.

 

Now I remember it!!! Saw it at one of Rockabilly nights in Riverside...





You mean THIS cross? HAHA! Didn't understand it when I saw it either...

 

That'd be it Bob!!! Hahahaha!!! I never seen the Iron Cross, I only heard about it and now I wish I still had it hahahahah!!!!

The Corvette Tail Lights look way rad on this car. I don't think I have ever seen them on anything (besides a corvette) that I liked but they work perfect on this car. I'll definitely get you some pics of them and you can tell me what you think.

Thanks Pro Stock John!!!! I can't wait to drive it. The car is in the process of a getting a new 8ba and t-5 tranny. I have some changes that I want to make but not any time soon. Should be running by Valentines Day but might be able to fire it tomorrow. Cross those fingers.

Couple of pics for you. Luckily my Grandad was a kodachrome guy. Both of these were his. He was fascinated with the legacy of the Carrera PanAmericana Lincolns, but had to settle for Mercs until his first Lincoln came along in '63.

Wasnt this car up here in Canada, southern Ontario? I remember the description of it as told to me by someone...there cant be t 4 doors around done up like this!

 

well even know jeffrey has my old merc I picked up another so that i could continue to be in the club, I could justify getting rid of the 52 for his bucket because i recently picked up a 51, but its going to be a full on project and a ton of work. seeing quality pictures of the 52 is enough to make me sick, that sucker is bitchen! but the car couldnt have gone to a better home.
heres a picture of my new 51, its sitting on a caprice chassis........anyone have any good leads on a merc chassis?
