I could use some help identifying the cars/ parts in these pics and tell me if anything is really worth trying to save. They're kind of in a flood plain so anything in or near the dirt is pretty thin if it even exists.
I always wondered where those types of finds are. You know when your out in the woods or camping and just come accross old sheetmetal like that.
This was old dumping grounds. Lots of gl*** bottles, some still unbroken, other junk. Even and old granite block with 1885 on it from some old building. Cool stuff. Its sat waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to long and I don't know if anything can be salvaged. I do want one though. See if anybody sees the remnants of the 47 Chrysler Town and Country convertible.
Thats cuz we got it in he upper midwest.... Driving on an old 2 lane one day and p*** a Model A four door buried in mud about 6" deep.
Coupe in post #5 looks to be 37-38 Chevy, you can sell every solid piece there is - doors, roof, deck lid, etc. Looks like enough to make a stock car body, though. '47 Chrysler T&C probably should come out whole, whatever's there, someone will want if just for parts or patterns. Same goes for '32 Ford stuff, in fact if I found a '32 like that I'd be out there with a shovel and a winch right now. If there's bottles, you should probably start there, the right milk bottles are worth stupid money - as in a couple grand a shot - no sense smashing those.
everything is worth something to somebody.looks to me like there is alot of metal that can be saved for atleast patch panels.trying to fix beltlines **** and i see there is alot of decent ones.
I was wondering about that being a 32 Ford but the firewall is wrong. First post pic # 3 and 4 are of the same car. I could've sworn I looked at it before and it had the correct firewall. What else can anyone identify.
- 36 Ford Sedan Delivery - I think everybody saying "32 Ford" is actually seeing the 33-34 Ford truck dash - Lots of Ford Model A stuff: upside down sedan, side of a fordor, floor of a sedan
So, is this stuff "available"?? If so, I'd yank all I could get out of there. Where in Washington is this? I mean, looks to be the west side, but, north of Seattle? South of Bellingham? Arlington?
With moss growing on most stuff it is probably to much thin metal but small stuff like hinges. trim etc if you can find what you need .. western washington and oregon and southern idaho down to mexico on the high desert country is where you can find good re-usable stuff. We have one canyon in the Yellowstone country that is full of 20's to 50's stuff dumped and mangled .
hey scotts52 any steering gears in that stash??? are ya gonna let any one know where its at...pm.me please ..jeffrey
Would you believe its all in Eastern Washington. Its not as dry here in some places as everyone would have you believe. 34 GAZ, where are you seeing another 32? I am not good at identifying everything. The one picture is the dash from the 34 truck cab. I hope to start hauling stuff outta here this summer. I am treading carefully with the property owner. its just junk to him and as far as he is concerned it can rot into the ground, so I am working him into a yes answer.
Tell him your trying to protect the earth and all of that. That you'll clean up the mess for free and give him the s**** metal weight that you get for cashing it in for him.
I've thought about telling him I'll plant a tree in place of every car I remove. He's not about money or anything. More about leaving things alone but I might get him to let me get some out of there then he can see I am not going to tear the place up. Anyone else able to identify? If you can, please say which post and which picture so I can better know what I am going after next time I'm there.
Like i said, 20 foot further down.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ( sorry, just pulling your leg ) One piece of advice though, make sure you have a good first-aid kit with you when you start there. I see lots of sharp stuff.
