Anyone have this little book from 1968?

    another book from the same time i think is "Roar of Engines" by John Clarke. i read the book many times during my middle school years as it was in the school library. i just got my own copy for Christmas this year from my sister.

    pretty fun story about a guy who builds a '40 Ford coupe g***er, gets in some trouble, car club bails him out type of thing. good book to find and read for sure.

    i remember the Jeep book too, that was in the library as well and i read it a few times too. that would be a cool one to read again.

    Anybody else read The Fastest Funny Car? It wasn't a funny car but a green Willys g***er. I bought it in junior high and still have it somewhere. Kid has a '40 Ford coupe, if I remember right, he rebuilt and goes to some lodge to play piano for the summer, blows a head gasket on his flathead and meets the garage owner who races the Willys.
