Was goofing off searching for a 60's chevy panel truck and found a yard somewhere out west that had this Diamond T panel... http://www.desertcl***ics.com/DiaT49tlb.html It is claimed to be the real deal truck from the last scenes of Two Lane Blacktop, and looks like it! Price is steep but would make a wicked g***er hauler, haha...
Probably the only real one you're ever going to see, but it's not hard to find those aftermarket bodies, I've seen similar ones on Ford trucks and even a Jeepster. Might be cheaper to make one yourself -
Why did you have to post a link to that site? Now I've found another vehicle I want. At least this one my be in my price range come refund time.
If that truck is so rare why is it parked out in a field ???????????????? and he wants $25,000..........
you get a lifetime supply of hand jobs with that. 25K????
fixed.
Well, it was cool to see it's still around but 25K? He's really high and I don't mean just the price! It's lookin' pretty sad.
Yeah, a lot of their stuff is way priced, but I guess they can afford to just sit on everything. Check out the early packard convertible...Wouldn't that make a sick rod? only 75k and its yours. And there's an A roadster, just a roller...14k!
After looking at the site longer, I think this guy just cruises the desert and snaps pics of cars, then tries to sell them on some kind of consignment basis.
$24K for "movie provenance" and $1,000 for the actual truck itself. Pretty typical. I'll bet that truck had, what, ten seconds of time on the screen? I agree - if this is such a gem to the seller, how come it's sitting in a friggin' field!
