frame is done, motor almost

    Have the frame done on my 28 chevy street rod project. The motor just got painted also and is waiting the re-marriage.
    When that is done I'll run the lines and everything that will be easier with it in it's present condition.
    The main work on the body is mostly done as well as ALL the wood (God bless me).

    how did you mount the shocks to the front leafs? did you make the top shock mounts? I like the clean look of it, good job

    Yep, made the shock mounts top & bottom. Wasn't too bad.
    Thanks for the compliments. Will post a pict of the engine when done and when mounted.

    Guess I didn't explain the bottom mounts. Heavy angle iron bolted thru the u bolts

    when you get a chance could you take a pic or two. I've got an idea in my head, but want to compare with what you did.

    Looks great! Did you ever consider putting the shackles on the front of the front leaf springs? I heard somewhere that doing that would minimize bump steer.

    Not at all. Prob not any more than the orig engine
