And Im home what a long trip, started out as a 2, turned into 5 day, the flex plate was destroyed. I will take pics tomorrow and post them.
I kinda tired, but I want to start on the car. Like a kid in a candy store. Going through the parts that came with it. Lots of old SW gauges. I will wait till tomorrow I guess, but its hard to resist.
Nothing against southern Illinois, I was stuck in a hotel room, couldnt leave cause I was worried about my roadster on a trailer, with no lock on it. I heard carbondale was the place to be anyways, not Mt Vernon.
I did until sunday after noon, she had to get back for work. We rented her a car and she drove home, I was stuck there no one to talk to, well except for the computer but thats not really the same. Oh by the way I highly recommend Mike Burwell's auto service in Mt. Vernon. I didn't have the tools with me to make the repair and the weather turned a little to cold to do the work in a parking lot. Mike is a hell of a nice guy.
Nothing worse than the tow vehicle ****ting the bed on the road. And something as random as a flex plate going blooey on you. Glad you got it sorted out, BTW, how was the room service? Bob
glad you fixed up and back home.. Life is a journey,, with alot of little detours.. Glad yours was safe. rick
Glad to hear you got back to town okay. What kind of shape is it in? What do you need to do to get it running? Will we see it in ****ord on Friday nights? All the best! Bryan
Well to make it a driver it needs wired, plumbed fuel and brakes, needs a master cylinder, brake and clutch, and and some small fabricating to stiffen the body. I will drive it this summer, and make it to ****ord.
Sounds good, by the way Mike Burwell is a hell of a guy he got me fixed up and on the road when he said it would be done.
