pics of 40's ford trucks with lots of chop

  1. yes, i looked in the archive, and no i couldn't find much.
    so here we are:)

    i put my model a tudor to pickup conversion on hold for a while, no inspiration.
    so today i bought a '46 merc pickup off of a friend.
    i am going to build a fenderless bobber style rod out of it.
    i'm thinking about going for it and chopping it 6" or so.
    i'd like to see some pics of others.
    anyone??:)

  6. Here is another one I was able to find showing the exhaust pipes I made, I should have it on the road in a month or so.

  7. are there baffles in those pipes or open?

    Used half a gl***pack(8") shoved up each side......Still has a nice rumble with out being over powering............

    Unfortunately I sold the truck in August. It went to north carolina where the new owner proceeded to "gawdy" it up. It was a sad sight to see. Here or more pics for you all:
