My favorite drag racing duo of all time. Why can't hollywood make a movie about this man? He was a true american icon!
JJ rules ! Here is my Forza 3 Jungle Jim stingray. You cant upload images so there is literally 1000 little shapes on each side and also the top.
One of the best videos I have seen for a long time,I was stationed in Maryland in 1967 and saw them race a lot out there. Watching the car and her as a 20 year old I used to feel the need to touch myself!!
That is a great video, thanks for sharing it. As good as she looks in that video, Pam was a lot hotter in person. She had a great, easy smile, quick wit, was obviously ***y and managed to be very feminine. Sigh, I'm glad that I squandered my youth like I did. Thanks for unlocking the memories.
Man - way far out - He left us way to early. Wow - think how cool it would be if the NHRA had a brain and let it get back like it used to be. Guess that is why this site is so cool. Thanks for the great video -you made my year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got to meet Shirley Muldowney at a World of Wheels car show in Santa Clara, California - very nice woman, both personality and looks. She was pleasantly surprised when I'd told her I'd just finished watching the movie about her life and career a few weeks previous to the car show. (Heart Like A Wheel) Yup, got her autograph .....
ts3x65mph ... I'm pretty sure he considered it his "home track" ... from what I've read, Liberman started his drag racing career in 1964 driving his "HERCULES" Nova: ... in the Stock division @ Fremont Raceway ... and he switched to Funny Cars in 1965.
It is important that we remember the value of "showmanship" as part of a race team's performance package... Too often these days, the idea of "wowing the crowd" has become neglected by a majority of "modern" compe***ors... The success of the "Jungle" Jim and "Jungle" Pam team was largely due to not only being concerned with having a well tuned machine, but also creating a "visual presentation" that captures the hearts and imagination of the paying fans seated in the grandstands... Thanks so much for posting the video here on these pages-- There's no denying that folks who frequent this incredible H.A.M.B. site, have the proper perspective regarding hot rod and drag racing culture... Happy Valentine's Day to all the H.A.M.B.ers out there in cyber land... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...
