Maybe your boss thought you were going to skate in to work.

I lived in OK for a while. They shut that state down for 2 inches of snow. Not like here, we have to get two feet or better just to cancel school.

Yeah pretty tough around here today, alot of trees already bent or broken in half. The only 2 guys that "couldn't make it" to work drive 09 and 10 model 4x4's. My beater 2wd limped in, but I sure wouldn't drive your ride in this sheet.

The snow wouldn't be a bother here but that freezing rain is nothing to mess with. My beater is an 88 Cad DeVille that I paid 300 for and it doesn't care what the weather is and I don't care much about it so we go and the trucks stay home safe and sound.

The good thing for you guys is that weather should be gone in a couple of days while the guys in Minnesota live with it for four months straight.

This has (so far) been one of the few times that I feel fortunate to be living in upstate NY in the winter! The south and midwest have been hit much harder than we have this year; I've only run my snowblower once.

That is how most of the roads are near me most of the winter. Right now with that nasty rain/sleet stuff that happened last week the back roads are nothing but solid ice. None of the secondary roads are salted.

That picture was taken last year near my house. It was the first drive I took in my 51 GMC.
