see if you bought a Honda or Toyota like everyone else you could be at work. But nooo...you have to be different and own a jalopy.
I lived in OK for a while. They shut that state down for 2 inches of snow. Not like here, we have to get two feet or better just to cancel school.
The thing is here in Oklahoma we get several inches of freezing rain, then sleet and then snow......Oh yea one more thing the day before it was 60 degrees outside and now it is 27 degree out here in NE Oklahoma......Boomer Sooner....I love it!!!!!!!!
Yeah pretty tough around here today, alot of trees already bent or broken in half. The only 2 guys that "couldn't make it" to work drive 09 and 10 model 4x4's. My beater 2wd limped in, but I sure wouldn't drive your ride in this sheet.
The snow wouldn't be a bother here but that freezing rain is nothing to mess with. My beater is an 88 Cad DeVille that I paid 300 for and it doesn't care what the weather is and I don't care much about it so we go and the trucks stay home safe and sound. The good thing for you guys is that weather should be gone in a couple of days while the guys in Minnesota live with it for four months straight.
I see stuff like that on a weekly basis.. but than again im in Michigan.. my truck looked just like that about a week ago..and its like 10 degrees out right now..with windchills in the sigle digits..hell it was 4 degrees this moring.. quit cryin and get to work.. im just messing with ya..i know you guys aint prepaired for that kinda **** down there..we live it 4 months out of the year up here so were conditioned to just get out there and suffer
Got one better... Drove my 350 powered jag xjs in about 8" of snow on top of mud fishtailed it up my 9' wide driveway (while the neighbor kids were watchin) did just fine tried to get to where i was goin and the fire department turned me around lol
This has (so far) been one of the few times that I feel fortunate to be living in upstate NY in the winter! The south and midwest have been hit much harder than we have this year; I've only run my snowblower once.
That is how most of the roads are near me most of the winter. Right now with that nasty rain/sleet stuff that happened last week the back roads are nothing but solid ice. None of the secondary roads are salted. That picture was taken last year near my house. It was the first drive I took in my 51 GMC.
got a nice base layer of ice with some freezing rain on top of that with some more ice and now snow. truck is hibernating now haha. the roads are shot, they never plow in oklahoma i guess. boss never made it into work so i got to stay on the couch with my buddy beer.
