I am looking to sell off a lot of my stuff in the near future, and would appreciate any information about swap meets within a 300 mile radius of my hometown.
That looks like the ticket...I can't do the Feb one, as I am going to the Pentagon for a friend's retirement ceremony. Is this a recurring meet? Edit...my bad..I see it is annual.
May be too soon for you but there is a yearly one the end of this month in Marietta GA at Jim R Miller park. Nowhere near the size of the Moultrie one nor the attendence so it may not be worth the travel but figured others looking at the thread may want to know. Brad54 on here also has a one day meet the first Saturday of every month at Lanier Speedway in Ga . Not sure what you have to sell but I have had decent luck several years ago hitting the Super Chevy swap meets as well.
Charlotte AutoFair is out of your 300 mile range limit, ... BUT ... it is a very large and busy swap meet. It is this April 8 to 11, 2010. Go here for the swap meet web site. http://www.charlotte-autofair.com/ There is a HAMB village of sorts in the BLUE FIELD. About 8 or 10 of us HAMBERS all in one area. We are located where the YELLOW push pin is
There is one every month at Lanier Speedway in Brasleton GA. I think they are held on the first weekend.
30 jan 10 athens alabama CBI hot rod shop/parts.. its their first try at a swap meet. Athens is in north al.. approx 20 miles from the tenn state line on I 65..
Brad54's swap meet is a good one especially if ya have "old" parts. Moultrie, Charlotte, and Shade's of the Past in Pidgeon Forge are also all great. Not sure about the one that used to be in Baker, LA.....but it used to be pretty big.
If you want to extend your range . Perry Ga at the Ag center april 2,3 2010. It will be on the style of Moultrie, and put on by swap meet savy people. This will be the first one, with one to follow a week before moultrie in nov. 40 bucks buys a 15 x30 space. it is one turn off I-75 about mile marker 134 ,can't remember . Awesome fairgrounds. Plenty of eats, motels. Just google perry ga agcenter auto swap meet.
There's Pe*** Jean on Father's Day weekend near Morrilton, AR, but it's probably not big enough for you.
The Nashville meet is really good.Lots of people with cabin fever. Last time for the meet too. They are shutting down the Fairgrounds this summer.
I can't speak highly enough about charlotte in april. also a touch outside your range but good is the AACA swap at the asheveille airport (asheville, NC) after several consecutive years of really bad weather in Maggie Valley it moved to a much better location, but it's still recovering a lot of the old vendors it lost. I've also found the Metrolina swap in charlotte in Janary to be goo--not so much this year, but it was **** cold that weekend.
