Hi, I've been watching the board some, and appreciate the great resource it offers. I'm an old fart that will probably need some advice with my '51 Chevy Sedan Delivery. Currently redoing a lot of poor work by the previous owner, and am now making the car something like the cars I grew up with. It has a 350 sbc with 350 TH, mustang 2 with front and rear air ride. If the photo shows up (I'm not very technologically savy), you can see the doors being shaved. It is sitting high in the photo, I probably should have dropped it for a better first impression. It actually has a pretty nice stance when lowered. Planning on frenched headlites, and 39 ford tailites. Hood is shaved and nosed, still thinking about the grill treatment. It has Blitz Black paint, and I plan on some heavy pinstripping. [IMG]

Hi, It has Blitz Black paint...

Oh yeah, and the requisite red wheels I see!

If you're an old fart, why Blitz Blak? In my neck of the woods, back in the fifties/sixties, there was only gray primer...and then it was only spotted on the parts you were working on...

And black wheels with whitewalls said you were "cool."

And the correct word is pin-striping...

    Anyway, welcome...lots of Texans here!

Welcome DK! It's always nice to have more Texans here. You'll find a whole bunch of HAMBers in the DFW area.

    Have fun,

    Big Daddy Eric

I have been, haven't you been reading the Friday Nite Read?

I see that word misspelled so often it irritates me...no time like the present to learn to spell it correctly...and I'm not boiling...just the editor in me!

Thanks for the welcome. I plan to do the upholstery after the rest of the exterior and mechanical work is finished. Probably still a couple months away.
