Wow. I like the added effects such as the wet streets and the "snow". (talcum powder?) He had to include a couple of pics of himself in the shot, to establish that they really are models! Thanks, Mazooma.
Side-note: Seeing the realism of these original-style cars, reminds me that I've often thought that traditional hot rods are best seen among unmodified vintage autos. I imagine a car-show in a small historical town that's been closed-off to usual traffic, with all the modern cars hidden away. Have both original vintage cars and hot rods parked (even in driveways) and cruising throughout the town. It would be a trip.

That shot of the 63 vert in the show room is stunning! It took some real hard looking to tell they were models. This guy is an awesome photographer!

  9. Doug ... great find ... thanks for sharing!

All of his models/dioramas are unbelievably cool (and very cleverly photographed) ... but for some strange reason , these are my favorites:

Looked like So.Cal. (Paramount, Bellflower, Compton, Downey except for the snow!) back when I was a kid.
I'd like to display my Danbury and Franklins like that..... cool stuff!

Yep, we take over Wayland Mo for two days. It's a really cool old town and the whole downtown area becomes hot rod central.....Not as period correct as the models, but pretty darn groovy none the less.

That is amazing. one of my cousins collects Franklin and Danbury mint diecast models. He has over 600 of them. The detail in them are phenomenal. I couldn't imagine how much time that guy has put into making the buildings.
