5 years in march.....less of a "'ride", more of a "park" until recently.

Got my '37 Chevy coupe about 1966, was going to build a gasser. Built it as a street rod in 1983. Been driving it since.
Got front part of '20(?) Dodge touring about 1964. Made a bucket roadster from high school thru college. Put it on the street in 1972 with flathead and early Ford running gear. Still have it.
Pictures of what I started with and finished cars are in my album.

I have a tendency to get attached to mine...My '55 (avatar) I've had 6 years, my '65 Nova dragcar 7 years, my '63 nova 9 years, My '68 camaro 14 years, and my '65 chevelle 20 years. I have built or bought a few more in the last 5, and I'll probably still own them in 20 years....

I've owned the Studebaker since 1964, rebuilt it in 1998. The roadster was built in 2004. I still own both cars.

The old girl I've had around 16 - 17 years. I'll fix her up one day.

The modified (avatar) I've had about 5 years. 4 1/2 years I was building it. Not quite finished yet.

Must have had my 36 coupe nearly 10 years. I still haven't even emptied out all the spares sitting on the floor inside....I think there's a floor. I should check that.

Let's see, my '55 (my avatar) since '94, the '63 SWB Chevy since '00 and the '41 Pontiac Torpedo since '06. But I'd sell the truck and the '41 if someone wanted them worse than I do.

  22. I had my 37 since 1959 I was 19 and now I'm 69 . It's running stronger than me, I think I'm in trouble!

Bought my 61 Studebaker Hawk in 1976 and my wifes 64 Hawk Gran Tourismo in 2005. They both sit in the back row inside my large shop and will start and run with only a bit of fuel down the carburetor. Did someone say packrat? Yep, that is me. Working on a 57 Merc. Monteray and only need the Merc-O Matic trans.

I've been tinkering with the delivery in the avatar since 99. How's this for amusing--I bought it as a basket case from a high school kid at walmart while shopping for christmas presents--merry christmas honey!
