Hey guys, I'm in Des Moines today with basically free day. Any cool stuff (hot rod related) to see or do here in town? I'm staying in Altoona, and go back home tomorow. Come on fellas, I'd love to find sumpin to do.

 

Tomorrow is Wild Wades swap meet at the fairgrounds. Otherwise its winter!

 

I'm near the fairgrounds, sounds good. What time does it start? Any cool shops?

 

I saw a saginaw 4 speed on omaha craigslist in the autoparts 20 minutes east of desmoines for 150 bucks

 

Go for a cruise and look for some hidden treasures on the backroads. It's fun trying to spot old cars.

 

We are going back on Rt 30 tomorrow doing the old car spot thing.

 

It's starts at 8:00 AM

just got back from junk yard tour but i didnt see to much

 

Went to Randy Torkelsons shop called Hyperformace (a Harley Haven). Had a wonderfull visit. I'm in the motorcycle business, so Randy's place was really sweet to check out. Even the ol'lady liked it. Gonna try the swapt meet in the AM (if I get up early enough, beer has kicked in now). To the gent in Center Point, let's get together and meet sometime.
