I found a blast cabinet for sale that has the bag type filtration system. I like the cabinet and want to buy it, but I found out that owner has been using silica sand in the cabinet. I understand the health effects of using silica sand and was wondering if you guys think I should buy or stay away from it. I oculd get a different filter system, but then the price wouldn't be right as a whole.

The bag filters look like d****s, and I know they are removable. I am concerned that if I try to clean the filter system I may not be able to get the silica dust complete out. Can I pressure wash the bags?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

are the bags like tubes?, anyway, i bet every used blast cabinet has had silica in it at one time or another, it wouldn't bother me, if your worried then put a resperatror on when your vac***ing out out the bags or filters, replacement bags should not be very expencive anyway.

The bags are the tubes. I thought if we cleaned it with a pressure washer, it would be ok.
