    Hi all,

    not much to say,
I've got a keen interest in all things creative, cars, and especially hot rods and muscle cars.
i own a 1952 chevy deluxe that i bought a few months ago and am beginning to start getting to work on it. starting with a road worthy (in Australia, particularly my state, theres laws against young drivers and powerful cars, as I'm only 19 ill have to stick with the inline 6 for now). It's not pretty at the moment but she will be.

so yeah, thought id be a newbie and post one of these, look forward to learning a lot.

Ryan, I am not smart enough to tell you any other way, but if you do a search on
"4 to 2 door conversion with pics " all will be revealed. I hope.

hope these work. just found them on my computer, thought i was gonna have to find my camera and go out and get some photos haha.
like i said, not pretty at the moment. theres a fair bit of surface rust, but shes pretty straight. without giving away too much, she'll be getting a chop, suicide doors, and a lowered stance. got a few other ideas too ;)

Nice chevy,Hell them inline 6cyl can be out of fun. Some would say a split exhaust.from a nice Headers sounds just as if not better than duals on a v8. That and double or triple carbs , them motors can alot of fun:D:D

    i too am a young one, 20.
just picked up a chev today, 49 model though, was wondering wether the grills swap over between the models? wouldnt mind making something mixed between models.

also are these ford stud pattern? i havent checked mine out yet but thought it would of been holden?

Holden pattern HQ-present. 49-52 Grills all interchange. My 52 has 51 grill and 52 parkers.Clean and simple. 52 grills with extra teeth look good, but good teeth are like rocking horse sh.t, Good luck, and BOTH you young fellas drive safely !!
Ask yourself, why would Chev have Ford pattern?

thanks for the continuing welcomes :)

Fat141, i think TKL is referring to the ford snowflake wheel on the back left in the photo. thats how i got the car, those photos are from the first night i picked it up, and no its not on there properly AT ALL haha. but the grill teeth are actually quite good so ill be keeping those :D
ill be wheeling her out tomorrow and starting to pull some interior and hopefully cleaning her up a bit to get a better understanding of what im getting myself into to get a roadworthy so ill try take a current photo. i wanna drive her as per 1952 for a bit before i strip her down.
thanks stovebolt, im sure ill need some advice soon, its funny you mention that though, i bought mine in april last year and now all of these aftermarket parts and stuff have become available, theyre becoming quite popular models. i dont want to give away too much of what im planning, but it will stand out from the crowd, in a good way ;)

Definitely do this, if only to save rego headaches down the track. Yours looks a lot like mine did when i got it. Then again it doesn't look that much different now.

yeah striper ill definately be registering it first, especially seeing as i wanna chop it (sorry to all those "respect the original" enthusiasts haha) and put a v8 eventually and stuff. and i like what youve done, i did consider doing a similar thing to mine, but i always get carried away with ideas haha.
wow TKL youve done well, ill let you know how mine goes, ive got my fingers crossed haha. its spent at least the last 15 years in a shed though apparently. but we'll see...
