I saw Wally Bell's 57 on the Pocono deal. COOL! Those were good times racing. Seventies were good too. :D Lippy

Thumb through a Rod and Custom or Hot Rod mag from the '60's sometime, then listen to some '60's era music...

Spent many Sat. nights and Sunday afternoons at strips just like 'em, first with the '57 chev. in the mid to late '60's, then ran the Willy's coupe from '69 into the early '70's. When we started racing, the classes were determined by cubic inches. Somewhere along the line it changed to cubic money... Thank's for the memories...

Brought back a lot of memories from the 60's when we use to go to The Grove and up to Kaukauna early Sunday mornings to watch our buddies race. Thanks for sharing.

  26. The '40 Chevy gasser with A&A was/is Joe Amato. He still has the car. I wonder if his auto parts store, which became Keystone Automotive, also sponsored the Fiat?

Cool video, That white 55 Chevy had about the crudest radius job I have ever seen. Looks like they maybe used an axe.

Back in the day, a lot of guys would mark a radius with a string and pencil, cut it with tin snips, and roll the edge back under with a cresent wrench... Some were better at it than others...
