Yeah they look a little "added on as an afterthought" to me. But overall a pretty neat ride. Can someone white out the flames?
Bo's Ranchero turned out awesome. I have been waiting to see it and it turned out great. I like everything Bo builds, they are unique but in the right way and his paint is always cool.
I like everything about it, except like some of you, I think the flames look "stuck on". I hope no one minds especially Mr. Huff as I'm a big fan of his work, but I took the liberty of removing them just to get a better idea. Beautiful car either way. Here ya go zman
Ive had my eye on a 58 ranchero in a local salvage yard for years. After seeing this, might make me go rescue it. Anyone know if the 58 front sheet metal is interchangeable with 56 or 57's?
Being a '57 Ford guy I really like that car, like others I don't care for the flames and I too like the first & second PCs.
can anyone tell me what the front end is off? Agree about the flames but still gotta be the coolest Ranchero that i've seen! Awesome work!!!!
Sometimes less is more. If you're going to utilize both flames and scallops, do so with extreme caution. I can count on one hand the number of cars that have pulled it off well. This isn't one of them. I'm really not trying to hate on this car because I really do like it a lot and I know how much is ****s when people nit-pick your ride. The flame is a high-risk play the coach would yell at you for though
Re Bo Huff~ It is a breath of fresh air to see a '57 that is not a chevy. Cool car ,rare to see a Ranchero anymore, especialy a nicely done custom. 1957 was one of the few years that Ford outsold Chevy. Where did all the Fords go?
I like alot of the cars that Bo Huff builds... but it seems like the build gets to a perfect point - and then he goes another 10 feet. It would kill without the flames.
Not a Bo Huff fan at all. I think most of his stuff is just overdone. Like SanDiegoJoe said he always seems to go the extra 10 feet probably more like 50 feet and that usually ruins it for me. That being said this is probably my favorie build of his. Very nicely done. I am with most of you and not a fan of the flames it makes it look too HotWheels.
just my opinion. Seems like like all his builds are simular. And the it would look much better without flames!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They all rusted away, Fords of that era had all turned to dust around here, within 10 years. My brothers first car was a 58, bought in '64, from a used car lot was repainted over a lot of putty. In no time at all, it was literally falling apart. I'd love to have a nice one, it always amazes me every time I see one though, which ain't often here in the rust belt.
Well.......it could possibly be that because they were built by the SAME GUY??!!! Jesse's bikes all have the same feel, Winfield's cars have the same feel, all of ZZ Tops songs have the same feel...and any work I produce will have the same feel too. I bet anything you build will have your taste to it as well. Go figure! Personally, I dig the car....(altho I do like the 2nd PS version)
