hahahah... wow... you are wrong, #1 is a real model A roadster, on real 32 frame, 32 steering box, flathead V8, early transmission, banjo rear... all ford parts. he tries not to use anything but gennie Ford.

he also built this coupe in a very short amount of time... and after Bville that year, made it a street/show car...again, some folks on the HAMB didnt believe it was built in the 21st century.. haha

ricky - yah, recognition is an easy thing to give...he is definitely p***ionate about the old days.

Thanks, Ryan, for doing this post. Way too much fun... can I now tell my buddies I was one of the judges for the GNRS??!

For me it's not a matter of "best", or "fake", or "not fake" or anything else. Like a lot of you, I look at it as choosing the one I'd most like to have parked in my garage.

VERY tough call, but I picked #2.

I have never seen so many S.Co.T blowers In my life!!! Awesome day today for sure. The Phaeton (#4) was my choice.

You mean number 4? That Phaeton is amazing... I hope it wins, it's pretty darn close right now.

Tough choice, all beautiful cars in different ways.
I voted for #10. Colour choice outside the box, I'd paint the wheels the same colour as the interior.

I love number 8 but the fake paint pisses me off....

  15. Like someone building a hypercolored cottage to match the one in their Thomas Kincade painting.

    BTW, my vote's for #5.

    My votes for #11...

I'm surprised that plowboys ride didn't make it in the running.
    -He's a HAMB favorite,
-he made the epitome of an indoor car-show hot rod of the 60's,
    -its driven
    -it's real steel
-it has a remote control bubbletop
    -there's 8 carbs on a friggin HEMI
-he even polished all the playmate residue off just for the show.

Is it cause he lives out in the boonies and likes ****py music?

It's like goin to the bar and saying we can only have beer, no tequila, no whiskey...

Ok, my bad if its not considered a roadster.
It just doesn't look like a coupe, sport coupe or cabriolet to me.
    Which one is it?
if the tops removable, seems like it could be a roadster.

Great collection of cars. The open doors, hoods, and trunks are bothersome, and block the lines of the cars, but i guess that is part of the show car deal. I liked # 9 and #10 a lot and voted for #10.

Number 1 is a great looking hot rod. 2 and 4 were my favorites. I chose 4, but i also love everything about 2, even the engine choice. Nothing boring about that car. The wheel/tire choice, and the engine(sbc) are traditional for that style of car. I like em all.

It would sure have been nice to know what's under the hood of #1 and the details of it. I probably would have leaned that way but for lack of an engine shot.

Good question , i had asked myself , why is this car even in the running?? New parts everywhere, electronic injection, late exhaust ( speedway motors) and just doesnt have "the look".
But it s obvious i dont know , i voted for the Hilborn car # 6...:D

I agree. I voted from Ryan's pictures 1st, then saw the cars later that day. I would have changed my vote after seeing them in person.

It's not up for the vote, but the Hetfield/Door Auburn was the most beautiful roadster in the whole show, hands down.
