why do i see a healthy rake, 35 wires on black walls, an open piped flattie hooked to a 39 box and 40 banjo, and a optional rear seat tonneau cover..... for starters....haha

That's funny, I see iron crosses, spider webs and air bags in his future. That phaeton is going to look awesome with 20" dodge wheels and three foot zoomies dude!!!

Happy for you though dude in all serious.

Are you going to head the same way with this car as you were with the coupe?? A flahead would probably be the most obvious choice (awesome choice at that) but I can't help to think what the 303 would be like between the frame rails.

A nice 59ab would certainly be cool though and I am sure it'll be rad when you finish sinking your teeth into it. But until then finish that ****ing roadster dude!!!

That's *****in'. I love tubs. They were everywhere back in the day, then went into hiding.

Bringin' 'em back with some style!

This car will not be totally the same as what I was gonna do with the coupe. It'll get lowered the usual route- dropped axle and spring re-works. Hydrallic brakes, 16" wheels and a 59AB with a 39 trans. Sorry JJ, that Olds is going in my buddys 32 5W. I am gonna chop the windshield a little, the big difference here is it will probably have full fenders and a top. Kind of like this green car.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't want a stock car and I ****in A don't want a "resto rod". I want it to be an early hot rod like everything else I like. Will have BLC's or guides, some type of tailight that I havn't decided on, and maybe like 41 Ford Super Deluxe bumpers or something. Will have some SW gauges and a fancy steering wheel. I want a rod, but nothing that will take the charm out of 1933. Get what I mean????
All I own is coupes, roadsters and a pickup. SOMEDAY (and I mean way down the road), I will need something to haul more than 2 people around it.

The fact that you said it now just means it's right around the corner Chris. You've admitted to yourself that kids are in the future. If Jamie gets whiff of this it's all over dude...I am sure she can already smell it on you and she's just waiting to pounce like a cougar!!! That is unless you meant "more then two people" like when your good buddie from Charlotte, NC comes to the PNW to visit.:D:D:D:D

As for the plan...I think it's awesome. I was not holding my breath for the 303 in this car. In fact I think there's really no other engine to run in a Phaeton then a flathead. If you ever get a coupe again I suggest you seriously seek that Rocket option. Can't wait to see this thing come together. Is it gonna be ready for E vs. W Washington this year or is that a stretch. If you say no....I know better.

I am sure you will do it justice. Can't wait to see it when it is done. Probably wont take long to get it done. John has nice stuff with very lil rust. I would have hated to see that get turned into a roadster. :)

Jamie's with me on the kid thing...not for a while. Plus I gotta marry her first...;)

No way this thing will be done this year. With it being a "rich man's car" It'll take some time throwin money at it, plus I'm still whittlin away at the roadster. I wanna make this tub a pretty damn nice car, a first for me. I mean, it'll for sure have some charicter and such, but I want the car to be pretty presentable.
I will have another 33/34 coupe, the only reason I got rid of the 33 was the fact that it needed a TON of work and I know I can replace it down the road. Phaeton's/roadster don't pop up everyday...especially one that I can afford.

Nice project I love 33-34's ragtops

Im working on a 34 roadster right now. It's funny how crude these cars are lots of wood. Nothing like a coupe

    Good luck

Cool project, I can't wait to see it. There's something to be said for a car that can haul a bunch of people.

  27. Don't worry about the wedding, you'll have at least eight months or so to plan once you find out that she's.......................................................

I can't wait to see the tub in person because I don't like '33, '34 Phaetons I LOVE THEM!
