What's snow? It's a chilly 60 degrees here today. Had to turn off the a/c for a few days. It's rough. [IMG]

  12. Mine's a Mercedes 300D. Electrical extensions in the trunk, for the block heater (it's a Diesel), complete with four Michelin Arctic Alpins on spare ally wheels.
Thank God they let me plug in at work [IMG]
And the Citroen 2CV6 is always kept at the ready, for those clear days.

'91 Caprice wagon. Silver w/blue interior. Candy metalflake wheels w/out caps or rings, blackwall snow tires. Lowered 3 in front and rear. Looked like Clark Griswold gettin' the tree this year!!

Swedester;I love that wagon!I remember when I lived in Massachusetts there was a Volvo dealer(Plaisted Motors)that had one similar to that but it was a panel delivery with no side windows. If I remember correctly,it was an old ambulance.Definitely nice looking!

I LIKE IT Steve! [IMG]Seriously I would love to have that Volvo.I've had station wagons and sedan deliveries since my first one(a 60 Chevy)in 1968.My favorites were Pinto Cruisin'Vans(I think I had 4 or 5 of them)and my most fun one was my Mini estate.

  17. And this one;definitely NOT a winter car with Yokohama A008R tires and a 5" ground clearance.

Ray...I've always loved wagons too....My dad was merc dealer..thru the middle sixties, and of course we had a wagon for a daily driver...my mom had a lead foot and would always screw with whatever car she matched up with at the stoplights....usually blew em off too!!!

My favorite wagon was a 1957 chev two door 150 series I bought while stationed in Kansas in 1971....$225...rust free and drove it home...Hot Rod mag put a pic of it in their special 55-57chev issue in late 1973....I was one happy sgt!!.....The ONLY car I want back. [IMG]

hatch, that´s how it will look when the snow´s gone, unfortunatly I need to move the front end up in the chassis to make it driveable, these cars are extremely high in original form, mine is actually lowered in the front in that pic,as much as is possible whithout killing the front susp.
(oh,the lettering will probably be diff. [IMG])

  22. Here's a couple more that used to be my daily drivers(because that was all I owned at the time).First was a 78 Pinto wagon that had a gazillion miles on it when I finally got rid of it.I gave it to my daughter and she drove it into the ground, sold it to another kid and finally had a tree fall on it.
The second was a really choice Oregon car I bought as a wagon, converted it to a Cruisin'Van and installed a worked 302.Last time I saw it was in Maine going 110mph down the Maine Turnpike.

This is what I call my winter beater because it is! [IMG] Warm and reliable, but eats gas like a horse when engine is started as cold on minus degrees... Damn, it´s snowing again and there´s no enuff room for big Buick in the car shelter of our rowhouse! Here pictured in front of my garage before snow.
