That coupe is killer. I looked it over yesterday and I liked everything about it except the valve covers, and even those were still pretty cool.

Nice job Aussie Steve, and everyone else that worked on it.

Now, who would have thought a '36 grille assembly on the nose on a '34 would look so asthetically correct? Kudos to the builder or builders.

I had the exact same thoughts on the grille setup. That car is killer!

NitroFC, thanks for all the great pics. Did you get any close up pics of those rims? Do you have a guess as to the diameter of those rims?
I agree, this one has my vote too.

Does that belong to Rich Guasco? It's up to his quality and imagination.........and the purple and white color scheme that he uses on his cars..........anybody know if it's Guasco's?

  15. It is too slick for me but I still stared at it for quite a while. It is very well executed.

    Ditto.

But a leaf spring in back would blend better with the tall skinny bias plys.

When I saw it, the hood was up, glad to see it closed, That is neat. We spent a lot of time looking at that one.

It was really a different look, that's for sure! The workmanship was amazing! I'd like to see it on the ground with the doors closed to get a feel of the stance and lines. Loved it!!!

It does almost look like a Cleveland to me but I still don't understand the valve covers. It's obviously fuel injected, maybe direct injection?

Edit: Mr48chevy answered that for me. I'd bet it's a sohc cleveland with fuel injection.

That's a knockout good looking car when the hood is on it. The 36 grill gives it a whole different look then the regular batch of 34 highboy coupes have.

Engine looks to be some sort of Ford with One off covers intended to appear to be ohc covers. That's the one distraction on the car. Looks like a fi or Webber setup on top. We will probably find out what when it shows up in Street Rodder.

I'd grin like a Chessie cat while blasting down the road to far off places if it was mine and never open the hood when I got there to preserve the peace.

  29. A bit flash for my taste, but a very cool car nonetheless. I wonder if a 37 grille would also work in that situation?
