If we pretend not to know about the S-10 parts try askin your question on the regular board. But do not tell them any of the s-10 part. This site is for pre 1964 hot rods and customs only. You may need to go to a mini truck site as we only use S-10s as parts trucks.

I compute it to be an ionic directional probe searching for receiving outlets.

Years ago, I saw an early S-10 with a 250 six cobbled in it (same length as a 292). The installer had to beat the firewall back and beat the core support forward for clearance---NOT a clean swap! Any V6 or V8 would be a better fit.

  7. Hell put a 350 in it, it's salot easier.

i got a 292 in a 50 GMC. space would definately be a promlem. its a really long motor. you might be better of with a v8, or maybe one of chevys vortec v6s. the 292 would give you more torque than you would ever need, but its not a very high reving motor without some lower end work. but if you still want the inline, the 292 bolts up to any small block chevy ******, so you have a lot of options there.
