2. There's got to be someone here that can get a deal on a Laptop. It doesn't have to be the latest/greatest.
Tell grinder if he ever needs cheering up.....
I got to spend a year in a wheelchair and can empathize with what he's looking forward to.

FWIW I have an old laptop that I'll donate if the money isn't raised. It was old and slow when I got it 3 years ago, but would probably work for surfing the HAMB. Maybe adding RAM would help. I moved a couple weeks ago, so it's in a box in storage, but would be glad to dig it out if needed.

rusty210, you are the man, not because of your kind gesture of donating your old laptop, but because your avatar is giving me a *****.

Drag,

That computer should be cheaper than that at 400 mhz...

I'm gonna talk to the computer guys here at work and see if there is an old laptop around they would part with.

It won't be anything special but it will work...

If not, I'm in for some.

Hell, I have a laptop twice as good as that one I was gonna sell for half of that but must wait til I can afford the new one.

Mike,

If the doctor who performs the surgery is worth his salt, not only will Grinder be up and walking, he'll feel better than ever. Removing the tumor will free up movement he'll have ***umed he'd lost forever. Some excercise and stretching during his recovery will have him up and bounding about like a little schoolgirl. Or something like that.

Let us know how the computer drive goes.

I don't know if I told you, but grinder's one of my bestest pals ever. He's got a heart of gold, he never shows up without beer or a helping hand. His two little boys are pure terrors, they've beaten the living **** out of me. His wife Allison's a sweetheart and he's a ******* fool for letting a deuce coupe body go for $700, it was 20 plus years ago, but he's still a fool.

I love grinder, I want him to get better soon, because he's about the best company anyone can have.

I second all that. Grinder would do anything for anybody!! I hope he ends up better off than before the surgery. We miss him at the swaps!

He once offered to spend the weekend at my place, and help me with my car, as long as I gave him food, beer, and a place to sleep....and read him a bedtime story.

Get well soon Bob!

That's true. Bob can see through the "smokescreens" and just gets along with everyone. He hooked me up with a good deal on his old 51 coupe too!

We'll definately be praying for him, and thinking about him!
