Chevy 194,230,250 multi-carb intake ??

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Tugmaster, May 28, 2009.

  1. Did or does anyone besides Offenhauser make a multi-carb intake for a later 250 six banger? I know there were many different manufacterers for the 216/235 intakes but the only ones I've come across for the 250 is from Offy. Thanks, Todd

I think Clifford makes a dual quad, that can be run as a dual 2bbl, with adapter plates. But most of their stuff is built for cranking some serious RPM's from what I've read.
GMC Bubba made one from a stock intake. He had 2 flat spots milled on it and so forth. He blocked the center off and had 2 Holley 1bbls on it. There was a thread on it here about it.
I might be tempted to go that route, rather than spend the $ on a new one. But for the moment I'm going to use a Holley or Rochester 2 bbl on an adapter plate, and maybe fiddle around with it later.

No but I think I'll print the page out tomorrow and show it to a gal who works at the airport where I work and see if that is one of the five or six languages she speaks, reads and writes.
