That 100E is a Ford Consul engine, correct? Really pretty. Is that the one referred to as the Kent? And if memory serves, the Rochdale was a glassfibre kit/production sportscar.

The 100E engine is an 1172cc flathead four banger. The 100E itself is a small English shoebox-type of car. They are very similar to the Consul but a fair bit smaller. The Consul used a 1700cc OHV engine.
This is my '58 100E Anglia.

Jive-Bomber, That is not an OFFY, it is HALF-A-HISSO, a very rare engine used back in the 1920's. They started life as Hispano-Suiza Twin overhead can V8 used to power WWI Spad airplanes. After the War was over they were Army surpluss and made their way into race cars. They were cut in half and became very good 4 clyinder race car engines. Thanks for posting the photos, there is a website that has nothing but Hisso powered race cars. If you run a search I'm sure it will turn up. [IMG]

  24. Late to the thread but here's my favourite from last year, at the Ford centennial. It's a ROOF 16v head on a T special.

The Olds had a two port intake and was often swaped onto a Chevy Four Banger back in the 1920's for more speed.

4ever4, That is Gary Anderson's A truck with 4 carbs. It is a stocker inside, the carbs on the other side are just there for you to wonder WTF. They are fakes.
The next photo on Bixmen's post is Steve Mexner's T speedster he found in a barn in northern Minnesota.
    Here is Steve's other project

We have "Speed Meetings" twice a year here in Minnesota, there are quite a few guy's here doing some krazy stuff.
Wayne Atkinson is working on a banger with the cam reground to make the exhaust ports the intakes, it has been done before, but I have not seen one before.

Wayne Atkinson, there is a name from out of the past, is he in Minnesota now? Sure is nice to be getting back into 4 bangers, hope to have the Winfield up and running over the winter. Bumped into a friend today with a Fronty that he's had for 10 years and hasn't done anything with. I will be getting the first call when he desides it is time for it to go.
