Hi guys. New to the forum. Figured I'd skip the introduction and just tell you what I'm building. I have a 1965 Mercury Park Lane. It's a pretty rare Z code Mercury to start with. 3008 were made in 1965 and this may be the only one that still exists in factory light blue. I call her The Unicorn. So rare ... you've never seen one. And they never built a 65 Super Marauder Convertible.

So, unfortunately the original motor is long gone, however it does still have a 390 in it (out of a 68 T-Bird). I'd really like to put a 410 in it but I may do a 428. I've found a guy with a 67 Park Lane 4 door that has a 428 and lots of other parts I can use. If I can sell the 390 I will buy that car for parts.

    Now, the real questions are:

A: What type of hood scoop should it have? I'm thinking tear drop style, like you might find on a similar Galaxie.

    and

B: What type of rims should it have? I've always liked the Cragar SS style ... and for now that's the plan.

So, I'd be interested to hear what you guys have to say.

    Thanks!
