I have found a 900 cfm holley projection set up and was wondering what your opinions of it is. I have a 472 caddy I am thinking of putting it on. Any ideas on it would be helpful. Thanks.

I have a nice one in a box with all the instructions to hook it up. Mine dosen't need an O2 sensor, and has the control box with dials. Haven't used it yet however.

many years ago, i ran the 600 cfm open loop projection on my 79 bronco. When it worked it worked pretty well. but after 15000 miles of constantly messing with it, being stuck on the side of the road a few times. 3 fuel pumps and two fried msd boxes, it went into the trash!

Thanks for that one. I put a tbi setup on a sbc I put in my driver (66 skylark convertible) Performance has been somewhat ok. It starts no matter what. It idles very high and has some other issues. I think i have an intake gasket leak. The reliablity is great, but if I had it to do over again, and had a good quadrajet, that junk would have hit the can along time back. I was afraid of the aftermarket stuff, especially after the factory style has caused so much problems. It works and runs, but it's not as good as it was with the carb on it. I miss those days.

A buddy of mine put one on his 430 buick motor and had nothing but problems with it.

I had the 600cfm version on a 72' Chevy truck and other than a bad injector when new, I loved it. It was the closed loop system, had to put an O2 sensor in the exhaust. Had it for 8 years and about 80k miles. Just my experience. The truck ran great and got about 4-5 mpg better than the old two bbl. Dave

    waste of $$$.

I had the open loop 600 on a sbc, in order to get it right your gonna have to fiddle with it constantly.

If you do get it, get 2 extra tps's they go bad for little or no reason.

It got ok mileage but did not perform as well as carb.

  10. The open loop system is the nasty one. The closed loop system is the way to go...
