The well known Vandal Dodge bucket originally built by John Reid will be in attendance as will a replica model built by Graham Berry. The cool news is that Graham has donated the model and it will be auctioned. Pretty cool. Aaron www.onepercentmag.com
Great to see a part of our rodding hiostory stay alive!! i can still recall the coverage it got in the Hot rod mag years ago - almost too long ago to want to remember!!!
You guys out there will not believe the models Graham Berry builds. Hope we can get some detailed pics up here before the auction to build a little interest! This model will blow minds for sure! Even better than that plane that was all over the internet. Simply unbelievable talent and craftsmanship, I can't wait to see it!!
It's true - I didn't rabbit on about it but this is actually really rad. And what an awesome thing for Graham to do.
Screw Nambassa man, we're going to see Cold Chisel at Sweetwaters! Fuck those were the days! Drinking in your car while laughing with the cops on the beat about our 'old dungars'. Where did you get those boss Queen St pics from Aaron? Hope you got more....
ive yet to get up for a blowout and it wont be this year. always loved the vandle and when it was transformed into black sabbath, i liked it even more, but i was just a kid back then. anybody got pics of both? cant wait to see the model. GB stuff rocks. the last one i saw was the blue coupe with working everything, right down to the steering box made from brass! very cool.
looking forward to it too, will be a great show as per usual, need to dig out something good for the auction myself....
OMG, so was I . Strange, don't remember seeing you there . Didn't bother with Nambasa though ... too 'hippy dippy'. Graham's models are simply AMAZING and have to be seen to be believed. Here is a link to a thread from 2005 where another of Graham's models was auctioned at the Blow Out ... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49138&highlight=graham+berry

ha ha ha its worse then that I have one still sitting here at work too..... still really only 1 engine and a bunch of parts out of the 3 engines and trans in the shed belong to me now...
Lookin' forward to the Blowout as usual. Have already grabbed a few slides from the hole in the wall, for mandatory expenses... See you misfit's there!
Oh yeah, I can remember being in the fambly saloon one afternoon, over in Hamilton East, when this wild green hot rod with black lace flames pulled up along side us. Yup, it was the Vandal. The Austin Cambridge was no match!
