v-8 60 trans topcover interchange?

My dad has a 60 trans sitting next to a '39 trans and it seems like both top covers from outside apperances are the same, will they interchange? I dont know which model of 60 trans this is, but it is deffinatly a 60 trans because it has a starter cup on it, i cant find any markings on it, either.

The reason i'm asking is his 60 trans has a froze up top cover, but we have access to some old racer stock and i'm sure there are a couple '39 top covers in it

The shift forks may be different, but I don't know that for sure. Check with Mac Van Pelt
