    Bumping this old thread up...

Mark, the links just above are my site, I hope you don't mind if I add pics of this stunning Dune Zinger show car you've created! It's outstanding!!

Don't know if you saw it, but the 57 cHEVY show car you used to own came up for auction last year. It was on the http://www.rmauctions.com web site, but it looks like they've removed it since the auction is over. Not sure what it went for.

Also, you're probably aware that there were 3 other Deal's Wheels show cars (Glitter Bug, Swine Hunt and Zzzzz-28). I got an email a few years back from a guy that was a friend and neighbor of Jim Allen's and he said Jim is still in possession of the Swine Hunt and that it is hanging from the rafters of his shop. Pretty cool! By the way, did you know that Dave built heads for the show cars that were large scale versions of the model heads? Here's a pic that Dave emailed me of him with the heads just after he finished them, the one in the middle would have been used in the 57 cHEVY:

Here's a pic of the Z with the head in it:

Ironically enough after a long stint in storage, CASI / Promotions Inc. brought their collection of Zingers out and took them on their show tour this year.

I hate to bring back a three year old thread but I think I have an answer for you on where to get the 5 spoke 6" wheels for the front of the Zinger. I am using them on my Mini Divco. And they are used on the 3/8 scale Mustang bodies I make.
They are made by Azusa Engineering and are called Astro's
http://www.azusaeng.com/wheels/whls6a.html about half way down the page.

    Moriarity,
Realizing the age of this thread-
I'd love to see a close up of the Herman/Exterminator guy-with-a-mallet and the mouse in the display case....

wow this thread is 3 years old! I did end up finding the correct front wheels for the dune zinger, they were called precision wheels and are magnesium.
