I found an add for a 10 bolt rear in our local craigs list for 200.00. It looks as if it might have 10 bolts but it is really a dana 60 all set up with the 5 lug axles and a bunch of strange bracketry. What do I have here. I have never seen anything like this before. Any ideas?
Single-float Dana 60, for a piece of off-highway industrial equipment. Single-float Dana 60's are common. Dana 60's in general made it into all sorts of self-propelled industrial equipment. They are no different from regular automotive stuff. I work with Dana 60's all the time (OT 4x4 stuff).
I've had some 64 -66 Mercury and Ford 1/2 tons come with those. They work great in 4x4 builds. Lots of Mopar guys want em to put into their musclecars too. -Shiny
My plan was to install it into a 54 cheverolet pick up. What about the control arms. has anybody seen anything like these before?
I have not see those exact ones, but similar ones. They allow a little bit of axle movement so the wheels stay on the ground, with positive stops, you you don't tip over. Hard to identify the make. Safety yellow was a common color. Heavy, bulky, and solid-bushed. Best for recycling.
