'55 or '56 Chevy Custom...where are they ?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by SwitchbladeTeeth, Dec 7, 2004.

  1. I know I don't post much around here since I sold my Thunderchicken but I do have a small request that I am having trouble with.

I am looking for pics of 55 or 56 chevy customs and cant seem to find any other than this...

This car gives me the wood I need to get me through the rest of college so I can afford to build one like it.

  2. Any more pictures of this car or more like it would be great.

And, damnit to hell if ****Reynolds isnt selling his beauty.

By the way, looks like the HAMB is getting back to more on topic posts then when I was last here.

  3. Not really a Custom per se but, What da hell! [IMG]

Cruiser skirts and tri-5 Chevs are like Michael Jackson and an elementary school: the two should be nowhere near each other. I don't see any body lines that compliment the cruiser skirts, they look out of place.

Other than that the car is awesome. I dig the 58 Buick grill, I didn't expect that but it works. Needle nose bubble skirts or stock skirts would do that car much better.

    my $.02

Could somebody post pics of the '55 Chevy convertable that Sam Barris built? Quad headlights, moulded lake pipes, continetal kit...I think Bo Huff built a replica. That has to be one of the collest tri-5 kustoms I've ever seen

I´m trying to make mine a custom... last week I´ve got the new wide whites and the car is going to the paintshop along with the steelies next week. After this winter it will still be a 56 Chebby trying to look like a custom [IMG]

The car wasnt pink. Its the same paint. The guy was like 16 when he built the car.Is it still the same owner? His name was scott Pavey .I met him in Springfield in 85. When I was little I always wondered why the car wasnt nosed and decked.

  15. briggs&strattonChev, My pic is a little over-exposed. OO MACK has got the story.

  22. I got a pic of a full on Custom '56 Chevy I took at the '77 NSRA St. Paul Nats. It was a chopped ragtop with canted quad headlights and a ton of body mods.

It was a sharp ride only with one draw back; it ran white lettered wide tires on Keystone rims. They ****ed on a otherwise great custom.

As soon as I search the archives and scan, I'll post it here.
