Hello folks. I turned 60 a few months back, and I'm an old airbrush artist from the days of Mouse and Roth. Haven't had a running rod in years, since I sold my 68 Mustang GT. I do have an unfinished 1960 Thunderbird in the garage, but money and time to finish it are both short. My first car was a black 1951 Ford Custom tudor I bought in 1964 for $40 and put on the road in 1966. The girl I dated in it is now my wife of forty years this coming October. The art on this forum blew me away, so I figured I needed to join. Oh, the old airbrush has been put away for years too, but I still have it.
Hey I'm also from Colorado. I am a kinda young Technician, Fabiricator, and airbrush artist. You guys paved the path for me. Thanks. Check out my work and tell me what ya think.
I'll take a look. Maybe we can get together and shoot a couple of shirts. It's been a long time but I think I still have the touch.
Forgot to say, 1967 Colorado State Fair. I blew them away. Another artist, Spider, packed up and left when he heard I was there. Now, I need to get a decent scanner so I can post some stuff.
Welcome from Aurora. I have a few cars that I am working on. And one is a 51 ford club coupe, I hope to start on it in july. You will fit in around here just fine...John
Welcome from next door...more or less. How about a bit more about yourself. An "engraver"? Like fifty dollar plates?
"Engraver" as in I own a trophy shop. Laser engraving, computerized diamond engraving and pantograph engraving, trophies and plaques mostly.
