ok someone please help me need to remove one of the rear gl***es in my international. it removes in to the cab i think ?! i NEED IT TO GET NEW ONES CUT. aNYONE KNOW ANY TRICKS ? thanks jake " the dude with the oprah pic"
Jake, I think you are right. If I can remember right, they "fall" to the inside for removal. Are you trying to save the rubber? If not, just take a utility knife and cut the rubber around the outside of the gl*** and it should come right out.
Fellas, I haven't taken my gl*** out so I can't speak to that. But I put the manuals for the L series (R is similar) online here if you need them in the future. The gl*** question would probably get a quicker response at oldihc. http://nwaringa.wordpress.com/manuals/
Nraringa, I"m a member over at the oldihc site also, so I went over there looking for an answer to this. But I could never get logged in to site.
If you have to cut it out what is wrong with it? Laminated not tempered? Cracked? I have a couple around here somewhere....
Twogees I am an admin over there PM me your email and we can see if we can get it sorted out for you.
I need a grill... mine is shot !!!!!!!! and anyone have good ideas for turn signals for this thing ... i hate the location and style of mine
Mount a couple of those avatar photos on the rear and people will stay way back... You won't even need tail lights!
I converted the markers (under the headlights) to turners with some amber lights. With the right wiring kit and a switch its a pretty quick job. There is a standing disagreement over at oldihc about the legality of dropping the markers but giving what most cops know about these old guys I am willing to take my chances.
I have 63 c900 shortbed, and I solved the signal problem by getting a set of the headlights with the signal lights in the bottom of the lensess. It also gave me the 9004 replacement bulbs.
My blog for this stuff is here: http://nwaringa.wordpress.com/ (posts should pick up soon with the weather) and my Flickr photoset on it is here http://www.flickr.com/photos/nwaringa/sets/72157622344974931/.
Which Mastercylinder/brake booster kit did you use? How do you check your resevoir level? Looks blocked.
