Hot Rods PBM camshaft

    local engine builder here uses the PBM brand of camshaft......anyone had good luck with that cam......model #140-132 453 lift , 284 duration..... thanks, charlie........:confused:

    dont know about their cams but their alum. heads are good.

    CHARLIE...NO i havn't, and erson is an old builder. so your probably safe! i personal like COMP. because most drag racers use them, and they explain better than anyone on their specs...POP.

    As with any brand camshaft and especially a brand you're unfamiliar with, be sure to check the #6 cylinder as well as the #1 cylinder when degreeing it in. On all V8's, the #6 cylinder will share the same TDC so it's just a simple matter of moving the dial indicator from #1 to #6 during the degree in process and spend the extra four minutes or so in checking both lobes on #6 and verifying that they are within a couple of degrees of the numbers or values you obtained on #1.
