    What's happening yall.

I'm 19, and have almost finished 1963 F100 truck that my father and I have completley restored. All it needs is wheels/tires, and a drop.

My first need of help, Wheels. I'm clueless when it comes to offset, backspacing, ect. I'm trying to find a vintage wheel for it, preferably a chrome center and painted wheel look. Then I'll wrap it up with a white wall. It's a stepside, and the we have wider fenders on the back, so dad wants to run at least a 15x8 size wheel to help get a tire to feel the gap.
I just want that "cool" look of a chrome center and paint matched rims, kind of a smoothie look.

My second area that I need help in is lowering. I'd like it to sit nice and low, but my dad says I can't C Notch the frame. Maybe one day I'll be able to sneak it by him, but for now, No Notching. How low can I go in the back without cutting into the frame. Maybe a 3/5 drop? I'm not sure how low is reasonable? I'd like it to sit level and lower.

    Somewhere around this level:

Thank you guys for any help that you can bring!

Lots of good info here too. My favorite is just moving both axles above the springs, takes a little fab but almost NO money:eek: as for the wheels I'm clueless as well since I like stock with moon discs.

Try Sids for a droppped axle. Or go reversed eyes on springs with a new arch. On the rear you might be able to move the front spring hangers up for more drop. Check your local big truck shops. Here we have one that will build new main leafs how you want them.

Yeah, a flip is probably the easiest and cheapest route. I did that and added 2 or 3" blocks (I don't remember), but by then I definitely had to notch it. But you'd probably be fine with JUST a flip.
