Customs 1949-51 Ford kustom; To drip or not to drip

    Keep the drip rails. An old car with no drip rails, is like a person with no eyebrows.... just looks creepy. I know there are some very well done customs out there without them that are the exception. ...but more often than not, it makes it look like the person made no effort to do it right. Especially if you choose to keep the door pillar

    Radical custom-no drip rails, mild custom-drip rails. Still deciding on my 51.:D

    If you go for a period 50's feel for the car shave them off... Shoebox Ford just like any other car can look very good without drip rails... as long as you do it right.

    I personally like drip rails in a traditional custom but to throw a curve at you guys and I am sure and don't care if 90 % of you guys won't agree . If it is a custom why not remove the rails and weld in ( steel rod) to give it a nice custom smooth look.I have done it many times and I think it looks good.It cleans up sharp edges sticking out and it's just cleaner.
