I'm looking to get some louvered panels for my chevy, all the searches show out of state or so cal. Any one up here? They would be for my '51 hood and roof.
We can punch them right here in Salinas on our hydraulic press. Check out my photo album with primerdave's orange Buick any my '54 Chevy.
The only one you need..., http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/member.php?u=55248 He's right over the Bridge in Vallejo, does amazing work and is working on KIRK!'s Legion Special.
Like the man said, just go up to Vallejo and see Matt Seret. He punched louvers in the hood of my 36 Ford, as well as quite a bit of other metalwork. Great work, great guy. Give him a call at 707-363-2841
Thanks guys, I should of figured on Seret. I'm also down Salinas' way pretty often. I'll check out both these options.
Check out Jason at Bear Metal Customs. It's a beautiful drive down the PCH to the scenic town of Morro Bay!
Its a little rich for me right now... but somebody could get in the Biz with this unit... (not mine, I have no interest in the sale) http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/tls/1560824800.html
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/tls/1560824800.html I think that I am going to go cry now. No extra cash.
I want to check out Seret for sure, even if not for louvers. I would definitely buy that press, but I would need it delivered to my shop here in the city, any takers?
Check us out when you're in Salinas next time. We'll be punching the hood on my 59 chevy biscayne pretty soon here. Gives you an idea of how big the press is.
Nick's is a full size press designed to do car hoods. You need that if you want to do more than small panels. You need a deep throat on the press. I've used your machine and it should punch any hood you can throw at it. RodP
