So I just picked up a 41 chevy 2dr sedan and the steering box has a 2 piece arm w/ 2 bolts and bushings. I can't seem to find those bushings anywhere. Should I make them myself and what type of material was it? Thanks

    hi vonhertell,
years ago i worked mine over, used washers to tighten the old rubbers, that worked for a year. then i made a metal piece with the same washers that i ground down to fit, it looked like a metal replacement for the rubber. that worked great for a year. so i bought the rubber part from chevs of the '40s that worked for about a year.............
take my advice and weld the S.O.B. SOLID thats worked for about 15 years!!!

We're puttin a 51 front end on it as soon as the round up is over. Should be much better and a couple inches lower.
