One for the Pontiac Guys

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by blackjack, Feb 8, 2010.

  1. Can any one confirm that when priming the oil pump in my 1957 347 Pontiac (after removing the distributor) it should be rotated anti-clockwise?

Does that also mean that the distributor rotates anti-clockwise??

    Thanks

  6. This is one thing that never changed on Pontiac V8s - from the 287 to the 455 to the 301, distributor always turns the same way.

  7. Thanks again guys - hoping to fire this up on Saturday and I don't want to bugger it all up with a basic mistake.
