    Are they the same?

Or is there a left and right?

    Thanks,

1/2-ton front? If so there are rights and lefts. And they changed some over the years, when looking for one you should know what one you need.

The parts book is online at the Old Car Manual Project. You can look there to determine what years fit yours.

I might be wrong, but I think they are the same except for the placement of a big locating rivet holding the two halves together. If so,then just grind off the rivet.

Tony does that rivet account for the differences across various years? Or left and right?

I couldn't find one of mine, so I picked one up at the swap this weekend.

The one that I picked up, is exactly like the one that I had.

But, after looking at them, there are two small bends, and one would bend up, the other down.
