Does anyone know where i can get a brake pedal ***embly and bracket for a 47 fleetmaster. I'm fairly confident that the ones for the truck wil work. I already have a booster from a 76 nova, but im having trouble locating the bracket and pedal ***embly alone. I am looking for a firewall mounted ***embly for the car in the picture
when I did my 47 ford, I used the whole master, booster, pedal, rod, prop valve from the donor car. sandwiched the firewall, weelded in a brace to stop firewall flex and was done
I would but when i got rid of whats left of the donor.. i got rid of the bracket and pedal ***embly. Im trying to figure out where to get a new set and might as well get one for a 47 chevy than that of a 76 nova
Just about any old GM one should work with your booster, I used the pedal set up from a G body on my 48 Chev, but the master was off an Impala.
Somewhere I read that a early 90's Chevy/GMC full size van has a pedal support that does not brace to the dash panel, just mounts to the firewall. That is what I'm going to look in to that for my 55 Buick as I need a cowl mount instead of the frame mount it originally had. Might be worth looking into.
http://www.allstarperformance.com/specSheets/pdf/904.pdf I found this one, i found it on one site for like 70 bucks, let me know if its worth it or if its just junk
These are pictures I took of a 1999 Chevy Blazer brake ***.we used in my Grandsons 38 chevy truck. I cut it in half on my bandsaw and "Fabed " the sheet steel Flex plate and mounting bolts. The welding was not completed when these pictures weer taken. The little bracket mounts the Brake ***. to a Box steel tube that runs under the dash. Hope this helps. TOM ( Tired Old Man)
I found a wilwood swing break pedal http://www.jegs.com/i/Wilwood/950/340-1290/10002/-1?parentProductId=744524 I can rig up a mounting plate to stiffen up the firewall. would this mount to the pushrod end of a the booster?
It may help,,it may not. I used a '73~'76 Malibu unit in my '48. It fit like a glove. I realize that may be hard to find depending on who ya know with a junkyard of old stuff. The other GM's of those years should interchange.
Hey all, Walton Fab here, we are currently building a new firewall mount pedal ***emlby for the car, the truck will not work. I will set up pictures later this week or early next, it is our new production piece. will be a simple bolt in, $225.00 for bracket kit and you can use your old booster master combo.
