Okay, maybe a little O/T, but it sure meant a lot to us. Taking my oldest daughter to her first "Daddy/Daughter Dance" in the '34 has to be the greatest day in the hot rod. You can tell by the pictures, it meant a lot to her. If this is too O/T, please be kind. This meant a lot to us both. This event is a sell-out every year in our town and this was her first year to be old enough to go (4 yrs old)... I've waited all 4 years for this and it was worth the wait.
I think the picture of her IN the car says it all. Hot rods mean alot to us and our children mean the most, When you can get them together for ANY reason it's great.
That is cute as hell. Your a great dad, she will remember that forever. If anyone gives you hell for this being off topic, I'm going to punch them square in the balls.
Not off topic at all in my book....thas some cool **** dad.... Good job for keeping the important stuff important.
If ANYONE has a problem with a cherished moment with your daughter, they can **** *** for real. Little things like this may inspire her in many ways and I'm not just talking about hot rods...
That my friend is both awesome and priceless! Will tell you something to think about... I let my daughter and her boyfriend take my coupe to her high school prom.... Pontiac Slim
That is great! I remember my father dropping me off at elementary school in the tri powered BBC powered 34 ford truck and that was 38 years ago!! I also remember the nuns hated it!
One of my best memories is of my dad and I going to a wedding we were in.I was 8 and the ring bearer he was a groomsmen, both of us in our tuxes in riding in his 33 Dodge 3 window. Great picks!
I'm getting ready to do something very similar in a few weeks with my oldest daughter she's 13. I hope the weather clears enough so I can take her in the 40 coupe.
not off topic at all, hotrods and family go together very well.......congrats...........................john
That comes under the heading of "priceless". There is a chance that she will forget the event or at least the details, but you will NEVER forget and as she gets older it will become even more precious to you. Be sure to keep the pictures and show them to her on her wedding day. Even if she doesn't fully understand the tear in your eye on that day it WILL touch her heart. Frank
thats awesome man...some of my fondest memories were cruisin around with my ol man in his 65 comet....she will remember this for the rest of her life-might want to get started on her hot rod now..haha
Simply awesome. Look at her expression. Way to go daddyo. That is a priceless memory to be cherished forever. I'm jealous.
This is not off topic,,,if anything it is on topic. That is a great experience for both of you,,,congratulations daddy. Also,,,cool hot rod. Tommy
thats aewsome. im sure it wont be the only time you two spend time together in your hotrod. start saving $, cause she will want a hotrod of her own one day. very cool.
Both my daughters insisted that I pick them up on the last day of junior high school in the T Bucket I built. Your daughter will remember that ride all her life. Kudos to you!!
A dad taking the time to be a dad will ALWAYS be on topic. The hot rod is a byline in this story. In a time when so many parents use the TV and a video game to raise thier kids, you sir, are being a real dad. Doesn't get any better.
Best post I have read in a long time. My daughter is 5 and I wish we had an event like that here. Nice work!
