Looks like a fun project! Keep at it. The shorty headers and aluminum seat aren't really old school though
The Morris Minor is very cool, and I recall some guys in our town having one with a V8 in the 60s, but they didn't see much action as g***ers. The gas cl***es required a stock wheelbase, and had a minimum of 90 inches (coincidently, the wheelbase of an Anglia); the Morris Minor is 86, and every tech guy knew it. I'm sure somebody knows about one that dominated local compe***ion, but they didn't race at the Divisional or National level.
Perhaps you meant to call it an Altered?...neat project though...and I agree, those shorty headers are a little too boring for a drag car...nothing a little tubing and some welds can't fix though...
Cool car, I always loved those things. Back in the early '70's, someone in Pasadena was selling a Morris with a sbc chevy for $2K. Back then, it was a lot of money so I p***ed........(sigh)
looks cool.small car big motor is always the way to go.and if the motor isnt the best it will still run like a ****d ape!!
got to have some of the new tech on it to make it run good the car is being built with no cash just extras parts for everybody in the club thats what car clubs do help out on the projects we do just got wheel well headers for it cooooolllll
