I am attempting to put together a 49 ford and was wondering if there were any other recommendations on who to go to for rear axel parts, front wheel seals and bearings and other brake, steering and front suspension parts. I have already purchased the lowering kit from jamco but it seems they don't have many of these parts. Any help would be great.
I got all the brake hardware from Dennis Carpenter for my F-1(springs etc.). Napa still sells the shoes and wheel cylinders for it, and they were considerably cheaper than a catalog place. Not sure if the same holds true for shoeboxes, but might be worth looking into.
Yep, 2nd on Chris at shoeboxford.com, he is a stand up guy. A buddy is in the same car club as him so I have gotten to know him and he is all about those cars and customer service.
Baxters in Lawrence, Ks is the best to me for parts that I know of and they are reasonable. 785-842-9256 131 arkansas st
