I think that Wayfarers came as both a business coupe and deluxe coupe. I don't think you would be stuck with it. It's a 2 door, after all.

They are not bad cars. I personally dig the business coupes. Someone could make somewhat of a High and Mighty clone for fun!!

if you want it, and can buy it for a steal, buy it. Like 66coronet says it's a 2dr... hard to lose on any 2dr, no matter how ugly... which it is.

if you dont want it though, post it up, and let someone who does love em (there are more and more people gettin into early mopars) get a shot at the great deal.

Is that pretty much the same body style as the famous Ramchargers "High and Mighty" ? If so make a clone!

I had a 50 wayfarer, it was my first car and I regret selling it everyday.

The one with no quarter windows is a business coupe.

Personally, the '49 '50 Plymouth and Dodge business coupes are my favorite all time non-Ford vehicles.

If you can buy it right, buy it...I think they're popular enough that you should be able to make money...The're actually pretty cool...............

Yeah they were always a favorite of mine.

They were rust buckets around here. The next door neighbors 49 4 dr had the center door post rust completely free from the rocker panels when I was a kid and they just were used cars. If it's not rusted too bad there will be people interested. I will say that there are a lot of tire kickers lately. Not too many real buyers. I don't think it's a good time for speculative buying unless you have plenty of money to tie up until things get back to normal...whatever that is.:)

I have a 51 Plymouth Business Coupe. I tried to sell it for about 6 months with no luck. They are cool cars, but when it comes down to selling them the market is very small. Mine did have some rust though, so that may have steered people away from it..

I like my 50 Plymouth. It is simple, easy to work on, and has been a very dependable car. Those flat sixes are tough motors and with an intake and exhaust they come alive. Lots of good part sources as well.

An old friend of mine had a bunch of those coupes. Nice body style. He sold them all, little by little, and a lot of them went to Europe.

  23. Depends where and how you try to sell it, but the 3-window is the more desirable body style, short a convertible.

Go for it. I've got three of them. A 48, 50, & 51 Dodge. Here's a pic of my driver.

I have roughly the equivalent 49. Was a 2 door business coupe. I went to a show and there were 2 more just like it so ... out comes the cutting gear and here is the end result.

If it still has the flatty in it. Leave it in. Some kewl speed gear is available and they have some oooh factor just cuz they are different.
Bottom line just have fun with it.
