Man-oh-man, today was one of those good days. I've been responding to all sorts of ads about early T parts to find the last little bits for my pre-war lakes 1920 T Roadster. Some emails don't pan out and some others never respond. Today, however, i get an email from a local Salt Lake Guy that said he had some T parts and I was "welcome to dig through them if I'd like." "Cool," I thought so I asked him if he had some pics and perhaps prices to correspond.

Needless to say after ten emails between us throughout the day and I WAS HOOKED.

Anyhow, I could blab about how psyched I am to have this as a future platform because this is what I would have preferred over my 1920 in building a lakes car but I'll let the pics do the talking.

There's baskets and boxes of all sorts of parts. The banger is completely dis***embled, as well as the trans. There'll be a bunch of stuff I'll be weeding out because the car will be a powered by a "newer" Ford e.g., B motor or flatty.

Come to think of it... I didn't get anything for my 1920... funny how that works, right?

Looks like you hit the 27 Roadster mother lode! If those windshield stanchions are straight and nice, greater find. Even enough to put together a full-fendered, aproned car or a weekend racer without the fenders and boards!
Congratulations, I wish I had found it.

By the way what comes after SUGARROUSO LUMBER----? CO.

The windshield is excellent... I'm psyched about that. It say Sugarhouse Lumber and something or other... I can't remember! Hahaha! Sugarhouse is suburb of Salt Lake City. The other side is more distinct to where you can see it all.

That's exactly what it says on the other side, Brandy! Thanks! I knew it was something like that... I got so sidetracked with all the boxes and stuff to snap a pic.

I haven't taken it home yet... can't wait to though. The guy is letting me keep it in his garage for a bit until I get my storage straightened up.

Thanks. I don't know if my wife considers it "luck"? However, I do! :D I look at it this way, you look for trouble, you'll find it. You look for hot rod parts, you'll find them too... and then you'll most likely find some trouble! :D

No history that I know of. It was going to be a father/sons restoration project in 2000. Then his pops fell ill and died and that took the steam out of this car for him. It's sat like this pretty much since 2000.

What's crazy is how solid this car is... NO RUST on the main tub. The turtle deck needs a little attention but seriously this is SUPER SOLID.

They are 21 T wheels. They were the first thing I checked because I'd love some big old 21's with black-walls on my other roadster running "A" gear.

Sometimes it just pays to get out of bed in the morning. Congrats on the gold mine. In my case it's usually the other guy gets the gold and I get the shaft. I cioould sure use that turtle Deck, even with the work it needs.

Very nice. You sure it's in the garage? Looks more like it's in the kitchen.

That sure has some history. If I owned it, i don't think I'd ever get rid of the "Sugarhouse" iden***y by painting over it. Not many cool Fords around with the original business signs from the 20's or 30's still on the doors!

    Oh! My brain JUST engaged.............

Sugarhouse Lumber and Hardware was started in 1914 by a man by the name of ASHTON. He got into the business of home building, about the same time the Federal government introduced home loans like the FHA. It was a big deal, and he wasn't the only one, but it was a big deal because it standardized home loans, to very similar to what we know today.

Each region of the United States had their own homebuilder, in the Southwest it was called Sun Valley? Gah, I'm fading...............but I JUST learned about him in school, well like last quarter. Maybe I still have my notes? It was BIG ****, think along the lines of first gen home builders that construct entire neighborhoods.<<<<-----That neighborhood would be the Sugar House development....so think something like a community.

Ummmm his obit might help you......look for the ***le BISHOP ASHTON.
