This is my 1948 Chev Fleetline Aerosadan. It has air bags in all corners. I can crush a pop can down to about 1 1/2" tall with the frame. I'm not sure what the exterior is going to be yet. But I know it is going to have flake in the paint. I'm running wide whitewalls on painted steelies. The interior is going to be tuck and roll. For some Kustom mods I extended the front fenders all the way to the back fenders. I will be Shaving handles with remote entry, power antenna in the back, power hood, power truck, I want to round every corner that can be rounded. And it will have flame throwers out back. It is going to have a SBC 350 with 350hp. 700R-4 and 3:55 gears in the back. I hope to have it on the road by the spring of 2006.
holy smokes its gorgeous already. what color you thinkin? im thinkin a dark color since that car looks mean. if its flaked with nice paint...will painted steelies look right? it might look slick with some fancier rims as steelies might look a little low cl*** for the nice flake paint. just an idea. i love the extended fenders might look cool with some spots? keep it up!!!
damn. . . good job so far! Could you post more pictures of the fender extensions and how they meet the rear fenders?
Yes, what HE said. More pix please. The fenders rule. Fadeaways that don't quite meet the rears and still have the stock radius, very tasty.
The car looks awesome. But I think extending the fenders just did the trick! When I first saw it I just noticed there was somthing about the car that looked better. Making changes that flow, or enhance whats already there floats my boat. Good job!

Looking good! When they say "cool" in Canada I think they really mean it. What's all of that white stuff on the ground? pigpen "We're not in Texas anymore pardner!
I've seen a lot of fadeaways over the years and generally never liked them because they were always too straight, but these are just so pleasing. Great job, give us more pics as you go along. I've owned 4 or 5 of those, the last one went down the roas probably 20 years ago...makes me want one again! Charlie
I keep checking back on this post because I keep hoping more photos show up. Jesus christ, don't tease us with this photo from a mile away. I want to see the door jamb, the back edge of the fender, details. . don't make us beg dude!
For anyone that wants to see the pics of how I did the fender extentions I will be taking some better shot on Saturday and I will have them posted later in the day. Trevor
Here are the close-up pics of my Fade Away Fenders that I put on my 48' Fleetline. Trevor http://photobucket.com/albums/v619/tbucket27/Fade%20Away%20Fenders/
