There is a parts car in Corsicana Texas ! Front end still on it . The star off the decklid is on my A coop now .

I think I'd just look for a driver 4dr and rob it for what I needed, they aren't terribly expensive from what I've seen, especially if you get one that's a little rusty around the bottom.

 

the junkyard down in jackson nj has a 2 door and a 4 door.but the guy doesnt want to part them out, and im scared to ask how much he wants. i hear his prices are way high. a fellow hamber has 2 4 doors down in virginia, so i think ill be taking a lil ride.

I too found a 57 Lincoln a couple of years ago in Montana that saw the road for the last time in '63...it still has the '63 plates on it!!!!! A cyber barn find on ebay...No rust and complete. You got a better deal though... you got it 50 bux cheaper LOL.

the body of the car is on jack stands, and i slid the frame out from underneath it. going to wire wheel and paint it up. i bought a complete front end off a 56 4 door in NYC, its all cleaned up and painted already. have all new bushings and hoses etc etc. waiting for frame to be done to mount it all. interior is taken out,floors were sanded and painted.dash is out and in prime. way too cold to paint now. but i ordered the paint from tcp global and its looks amazing. im doing wisteria for the body, amethyst for the roof, and white scallops. i can get a merc gl*** top for cheap, and i am hoping i can fit it to my roof.we will see.i am going to brooklyn next week to pick up thunderbird seats that will be in the car with a custom console.i saw a set of cadillac sabre wheels mounted on a 56 merc custom in a junkyard, and i intend on buying those wheels asap. i dont know how they fit on a ford, but they did!!!!!!!!!!!no interesting pics yet, but will start when it warms up.

I was talking to the guy when he had it on ebay, I asked him how long it could stay
there before I had to pick it up, it was on it's second listing said he was going to part it out if it didn't sell, I didn't want to see that happen, but the reality was I just didn't have a place to put it and with all my other projects probably would have never touched it glad to see somebody saved it. keep the pictures coming I would love to see the progress
